Dr John Spink Confirmed as HACCP Food Safety Conference Keynote Speaker

Leading global authority on food fraud and product fraud related business risks, Dr John Spink, Director of the Food Fraud Initiative at Michigan State University, confirmed as HACCP keynote Speaker.

Australia's 24th HACCP* conference, the country's leading food safety event takes place this year at Doltone House in Hyde Park, Sydney from 30 - 31 August under the theme 'Creating Trust and Transparency in the Global Food Industry'.

This theme recognises the significant challenges faced when maintaining farm-to-fork traceability and safeguarding brand trust.  The food industry faces mounting challenges managing complex global supply chains and the pressure of juggling conflicting demands to remain competitive while adhering to constantly evolving regulatory frameworks to deliver safe, quality product.

The event attracts a broad mix of food safety professionals and international experts from across the retail, agricultural and food industries. 

This year's key note speaker is Dr John Spink, Director of the Food Fraud Initiative at Michigan State University who is widely renowned as the leading authority on food fraud and product fraud related business risks globally.  He has worked with ISO, GFSI Food Fraud Think Tank and U.S. Pharmacopeia, and his global activities include engagements with the European Commission, INTERPOL's Operation Opson, New Zealand MPI, and he currently serves as an adviser on food fraud to the ChineseNationalCentre for Food Safety Risk Assessment.
